While working for Fika Entertainment I had the opportunity to work within a 3D animation pipeline on a couple of animated productions for Mattel. The productions include American Girl Designer House and Girl of the Year. Both production are based on the popular American Girl dolls that Mattel manufactures.
My role involved assisting in the creation, setup and testing of Ragdoll Dynamics physics assets for the characters clothing and hair, as well as running physics simulations on individual shots for the series. This process involved close attention to detail in order to identify any clipping of meshes that may occur and applying counter animation to rectify any issues that arose.
Further tasks I was responsible for on the production included the exporting of FBX's and Ornatrix grooms from Autodesk Maya for rendering in Unreal Engine 5.
