After over 15 years in the making, The Deputy Davo Show returns, having undergone a 3D animated metamorphosis. The new animated show is loosely based on the original YouTube series created by a collective of people involved in the Brisbane standup comedy scene during the mid to late 2000s. The original show was ahead of its time and an early example of a streaming series back when YouTube was still in its infancy and Netflix was still just a DVD mail order service.
The original Deputy Davo Show was co-created by Paul Brasch and Mark Patching and the new animated series is helmed by the same team, and although the original series was aimed at a more adult audience, the new animated series is targeted towards the 5-12 year-old market.
